Description:
I had to go to Rosslyn VA to pick up something, and took this train. I grabbed the shot as I got off there. I lived in NY for many years, which lights its stations pretty well. Im always amazed at how dimly lit the WMATA stations are.

Metro Center
Description:
The stations on WMATA tend to be cavernous, and to my NYCTA mind, quite dark, adding to their cavern like qualities. The trainsfer stations, with their tunnels in two directions, are only more so. Metro Center, where the Red Line crosses the Blue, Orange, and Silver Lines is one of those. Were looking at the Red Line station from the balcony above the platform.

Light rail
Description:
Dont know how rapid this is, but it gets you through downtown. This articulated light rail vehicle-somehow, streetcar doesnt seem to fit-was turning in front of us on the morning after the Alan Jackson show.
