This good looking 2-8-2 Mikado was built by Alco-Brooks in September of 1912. The powerful and fast loco was a great addition to the roster and served both passenger and freight. After nearly 37 years of dedicated service, the loco was sold for scrap to Max Schlossberg in August of 1949. Original specs - serial #51858, N-1 class, 63" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 300,000 lb, tractive effort of 55,533 lb. This is a Sid Davies photo. |

Original specs - serial #51858, N-1 class, 63" drivers, 175 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 300,000 lb, tractive effort of 55,533 lb.
