Built by Brooks in March of 1898, the loco was renumbered WC 2623 in 1909 and eventually slid over to the Soo roster as SOO 2623. The loco lasted until being scrapped in April of 1946 after a whopping 48 years of service. Specs - serial #2927, class E-22, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 149,000 lb, tractive effort of 28,063 lb. No exact day in 1935 was given for the photo.
