The Santa train has passed the feel mill south of downtown and will shortly be at the station. Note the van at the crossing. He pulled onto the tracks in front of the train, only to have to back off because there was a car in front of him. People's inattention around railroad crossings(really, anytime when they are driving) is astounding. There was no mistaking there was a train coming. They don't hold back on the horns. |

Here, 68 rests in the siding waiting for the return Turn to pass by. the turn was held up here at the depot for an hour and a half until the UP could scrounge up a crew to move their freakin train. The depot platform was 6 cars short(!) to allow us to continue our christmas train, therefore we had to cancel one of the trains. |
