Portraits 6. Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #137, an L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikado" built in Juniata during June of 1916 and retired in October of 1956 after 40 years of faithful service. In this context, it's pulling a passenger train; perhaps it's one Pennsy's famous "Off the Beaten Track" excursions. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.
